Welcome to “MY EVENTS” . . . We started several years ago in West Dorset by way of several friends getting together that shared similar interest and hobbies within the world of COLLECTABLE’S, ARTS & CRAFTS and ANTIQUES.
We enjoyed making and collecting so much that eventually most of us become self-
Over the years we found through our own experiences that it was challenging to find a suitable venue or location on a regular basis that offered us what we were looking for.
Sometimes the sheer cost of having a suitable display area or stand, meant paying anything from £13 to £80 just for the privilege of being able to trade, without any support from the venue in the way of awareness being offered to help you, simply this is your spot . . . it is down to you, type of attitude being offered by the people running the establishment or show. Or paying high commissions to have your items displayed, and losing the opportunity to deal with the customers directly.
Easy answer to all your problems . . . Promote yourself and your work each week while establishing yourself . . . At a fixed low fee, in a friendly indoor environment throughout the year.
We found only a few establishments (if any) who would promote you or your business to the general public before or during the show or event. In other words you were solely relying on passing trade on the day of the event. At best when things did work out for you on the day. . . The next event at the same location may be weeks away or even months . . . Which meant or means you are unable to create a regular loyal customer to visit you.
So . . . Several friends got together and set-
What do we offer . . . What do we do? . . . We wish to encourage people from all walks of life to promote themselves and their business ideas . . . Whether as an artist, craft person, someone who has been collecting or specialising in particular items and who may now wish to sell, or someone who enjoys selling antiques who may be looking for another location to trade at.
Maybe you simply want to sell items from your home that you no longer wish to keep . . . We are offering a platform or location that is available weekly inside, that is spacious and professionally run by people like you.
No longer do you need to worry whether it is going to rain, or fear bad weather, no longer do you need to worry that you are selling something different that may not fit in with the rest of the traders.
What do we do? . . . we wish to give the same opportunity under the same roof to traders in the categories we have mentioned above . . . Please note we are not able to have traders selling food or drinks . . . As refreshments and food are available on this site.
The area where we trade from is divided into three categories when we can (more specific categories will be added later) . . .
Category 1. Arts & Crafts this category will have its own area adjoining the main hall area. This means that your surroundings as to other exhibitors will be complimentary to your display.
Category 2. Collectable’s & Antiques will be located in the main hall.
Category 3. Will be for those who simply wish to sell items from their homes of general interest.

Whether you are an artist or you produce hand crafted items, sometimes you may not have access to a local gallery or commissions may be too high for you to exhibit. “MY EVENTS” wishes to offer those involved in the arts and crafts . . . Weekly Sunday opportunities to promote your work to the general public at a set rate or fee of just £8 each time you exhibit. No extras to pay or commissions.
